2008 GALA EVENT Media: 2008 Cable's Leaders in Learning Awards Gala High-Resolution PhotosJenann Wakefield, Grand Junction, Colorado Jenann Wakefield, a web developer for the Mesa County Valley School District, will be honored with a 2008 Cable’s Leaders in Learning Award at a ceremony Wednesday, June 18th at the Library of Congress. Wakefield is being honored for the development of “Parent Bridge”, a secure web application providing access to parents without computers in the home to login through computer kiosks in grocery stores. These kiosks allow parents to access their children’s information, including posted messages, grades, assignments, attendance, lunch transactions, standardized test scores and other student data.
