Deborah Taylor Tate, Commissioner, Federal Communications Commission (FCC), was honored with a 2008 Cable’s Leaders in Learning Award during a Gala at the Library of Congress on June 18. Commissioner Tate was recognized for her abiding commitment to education, her advocacy of media literacy for families in today's highly sophisticated television, online, and media environment, and her strong support of technology as a tool for better teaching and learning.
