2008 GALA EVENT Media: 2008 Cable's Leaders in Learning Awards Gala High-Resolution PhotosDon Cerrone, New York, New York Don Cerrone, a teacher at Jonathan Levin High School in the Bronx, will be honored with a 2008 Cable’s Leaders in Learning Award at a ceremony Wednesday, June 18th at the Library of Congress. Cerrone is being honored for partnering with Cablevision, the Independent Film Channel (IFC) and the Bronx borough president for a student film documenting the history and rise to excellence of William Howard Taft High School and the Bronx, the fall and decline of the high school and the Bronx and the return to glory of the Bronx and new schools like Jonathan Levin High School, which is housed in the old Taft High School building.
